Design Process

Pre-Production

My work in this project started with writing the GDD for the game which I wrote by gathering all the references my team mentioned in our meeting and organizing the our vision for the game. This was actually quite easy since my team was very thorough in thinking about what was feasible and what wasn't.


Texture Art

I was assigned to help out with creating textures, specifically for the ship. I kept the design pretty simple partially because of my lack of experience in texture art, but also because we were aiming for PSX retro style graphics. During this process I learned about texturing programs like Quixel Mixer.


Sound Design

Lastly I worked as the sound designer for this project. Most of the sound effects were found online but I had to edit most of them to match in quality and fit the pace of our game.
