Level Design Process

2D Layout

I started rough layout sketches to come up with ideas for puzzles and pieces that the player could interact with and in what ways. I used my ideas to sketch a rough draft and used this to guide a majority of my rough blockout. I revised my design during playtest and reflected my revisions on a polished final 2D layout.



3D Blockout

This blockout was created using Unity Probuilder. As I said before, I used my rough layout to guide me but made some improvisations based on what felt better in gameplay. Since this a prototype, my design ends at the blockout stage. This was the final version after playtesting for playability.


Final Level Design

This leads to my final prototype level design, complete from start to beginning.
